Here’s a line from one of my favorite books, Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. The comment is addressed to the White Rabbit who’s attempting to give evidence against Alice at her trial. If it was me on trial, I’d imagine the King, in all his blustery glory, demanding, what is so difficult about writing a story? I’d stand there wringing the hem of my shirt. But sir… you see…I’ve got most of the words down; they’re just not in the right order yet. Feeling sorry for me, this is how he’d respond.
